Questions people actually ask

Is card counting illegal?

No. Counting with your head is legal everywhere in the US — it's just thinking. Casinos can ask skilled players to leave, which is why we also teach game selection and when a game isn't worth playing.

Do I need an app?

No. CountLab is a website: any modern browser, phone or laptop, and it keeps working offline after your first visit.

Do I need to be good at math?

If you can add and subtract 1, you can count. The hard part is doing it fast, under pressure, without dropping strategy.

Will this make me money?

Probably not, and anyone promising otherwise is selling you something. A skilled counter's edge is ~0.5% with high variance, and most modern games aren't beatable at all. We promise the skill, measured honestly — including the judgment to walk away.
